The MRSLF raises awareness of the environmental, economic, social and cultural challenges that our community faces in today’s fast-paced and hectic world. The festival itself presented different avenues towards living a more sustainable lifestyle and towards a greener future.
The festival was located at The Woodend Community Garden and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. The stalls were situated under a beautiful oak tree and had excellent views of the surrounding scenery. The sun came out in true fashion and we reach a top of 41 degrees!! Despite the high temperature there was a lot of shade to keep festival-goers cool and plenty of workshops and entertainment to keep everyone busy.
Clean Up Our Water was well received by the locals at Woodend and we had a fair few volunteers show their interest in helping out on our next clean up day. Clean Up Our Water provided an informative exhibit about the Northern Pacific Sea Star and general information about our goals towards a cleaner future.
We would like to thank The Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group for inviting us along to the event, thank you to all the people who attended the festival and visited our stall and thank you to both our sponsors PJT Green Plumbing and PJT Sizzle for their support.
